Garden Cupcakes
I made these cupcakes for a preschool fundraiser. The white cupcakes are topped with chocolate buttercream, and the bugs and flowers are made of fondant.
What kind of buttercream do you prefer? Swiss meringue? American? Classic French?
I find whenever I make a quality buttercream, people always make a funny face and say "Ah, this tastes like butter" ???!!!??
Either way, these are cute and look delicious. The fondant work on the bugs is quality, I would've expected them to be made out of gum paste or the like.
Thanks, Nick. I prefer Italian meringue or Swiss meringue. However, if I'm in a hurry or I'm making a cake primarily for kids, I use the quick faux BC.
