Merry Christmas!

I made this cake for my family at Christmastime. The cake was chocolate, filled with a peppermint buttercream and crushed candy canes. All of the figures were made from fondant. The outside of the cake was covered with sanding sugar and royal icing snowflakes. I had a great time dreaming up the scene and making this.

They found a home!

The salon figures that I posted previously found a home on a beautiful cake made by my friend's mother-in-law. I love how the scissors were placed.

Reindeer Fun!

I made this mini cake by carving a 6-inch cake and then covering it with fondant. He's kind of goofy looking and makes me smile.

I've been playing around with fondant figures lately and this is what I have so far.




I made these for a friend who owns a salon and spa. She'll be putting them on top of a tiered cake.
